It’s a tale as old as time—you feel good throughout the week because you’re eating well and with intention. You’re comfortably moving through your daily routine at home or at work and you’re managing to avoid all of the foods that trigger your symptoms. Then the weekend hits.
An unexpected invitation from a friend, or a DIY project at home throws your routine off kilter. Or your kid has an all-day soccer tournament and you’ve got family in town visiting.
The unpredictability and variability of the weekends is a challenge for almost everyone when it comes to following a specific way of eating or avoiding particular foods. (And if you’re not feeling confident about navigating your food choices during the week yet either, that’s ok! We’re here to help.)
While it may not be possible or even desirable to plan ahead for every situation that may arise on the weekends, you can better set yourself up for weekend success with just a little preparation.
